SERIOUS CONCERN

“International students face prolonged waits and uncertainty with provincial attestation processes in Canada. How does Canada address our concerns and ensure timely resolutions?

The reason why the rules changed is to protect the international students as well as Canada’s economy.

Many international students in Canada were not succeeding because many could not find adequate, reasonably priced housing. They are living in over crowded shared spaces. Most international students are not doing adequate research and were being taken advantage of, by crappy private for-profit colleges. Many of them are spending their family’s life savings on an education they think will get them PR, because they are naive enough to believe that study permits are an immigration stream in Canada. They do not read the government of Canada information prior to enrolling in a school and applying for a study permit.

IRCC is fixing these problems, so now you have to be patient and wait. This is to protect you as much as it is to protect Canada.

You just have to be a responsible adult and make sure you keep yourself informed about enrollment deadlines and defering intake dates. You have to address your own concerns. You’re an adult now.

Studying abroad is not an entitlement.
