Graduates who have completed an eight-month or longer program are eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP), which is a sort of open work visa that lasts between eight months and three years. If the student’s academic program is fewer than two years long, the validity period is usually the same. Otherwise, the period of validity is three years.
